About the Course
HLTAID009 describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
The CPR Refresher Course covers several key areas. Participants will review basic life support principles, including adult, child, and infant CPR techniques, and engage in hands-on practice of chest compressions and rescue breaths. The course also includes the operation and application of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), with safety precautions and practical exercises using training AEDs.
The Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines, recommend that you refresh your resuscitation skills every 12 months.
