Course Delivery Modes
  1. Work-Based Training (WBT) - Designed for Apprentices or fee-for-service students currently working in a commercial kitchen.

  2. Classroom-Based Training (CBT) - Designed for full-time domestic and international students. This training is delivered entirely in a classroom setting and a fully equipped commercial training kitchen.

Course Structure

The total number of Units of Competency to receive this qualification is 33 comprising of 14 core and 19 elective units.

Admission Requirements
  1. To undertake this qualification with ACCESS Recognised Training you must be employed in a fully operational hospitality establishment. ACCESS does not provide employment or recruitment services and therefore cannot assist with work placements;  

  2. Sound English language, literacy and numeracy skills (ACSF – Level 5);

  3. Completion of SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management.

Course Study Pathways
  1. Australian Apprenticeship (WBT only)

  2. Full-time student (CBT only)

  3. ​Part-time student (WBT only)

  4. RPL 

Course Duration

Work-Based: 6 - 12 months, depending on the number of credit transfers and the individual progress of each student. At a minimum,  students are expected to complete one unit of competency per month. 

Classroom- Based: 78 weeks including 18 weeks of holidays.
