PART II - CONFLICT MANAGEMENT SERIES
Becoming the Professional Navigator
"An advanced conflict resolution and negotiation masterclass designed to transition from de-escalation to operational restoration. Master the ‘Professional Navigator’ framework to identify the ‘Green Shoots’ of cooperation, pivot from emotion to interest, and engineer high-value ‘Win-Win’ solutions"

EDUCATE    MOTIVATE    ELEVATE

Workshop Description

In Part I: Becoming the Professional Anchor, we mastered the 'Red Zone' by grounding emotional surges. Part II: The Professional Navigator is the critical second step. Once you have anchored the emotional discharge, you must ask: What happens next?

De-escalation is the emergency room; Conflict Resolution is the path to recovery.

This workshop shifts the focus from managing behavior to managing the task. A 'Professional Navigator' doesn't just wait for the storm to pass; they steer the ship toward a functional destination.

You will use principled negotiation to resolve conflict at the lowest possible cost to the business while restoring relationships.

What You Will Learn

The 'Professional Navigator' journey is delivered across four high-impact modules:

  1. The Professional Pivot: Actively transition from de-escalation to collaborative problem-solving. Learn to identify 'Green Shoots'—specific indicators that the customer’s thinking brain is back online and ready to work.

  2. The Interest Hunt: Move past rigid demands (Positions) to discover the underlying needs (Interests). Use the '5-Why' Diagnostic to peel the onion and find the root interest hidden beneath the anger.

  3. The Professional Fixer: Become a commercial engineer. Use the Stakeholder Filter to vet solutions through three lenses: The Customer, The Business, and The Staff. Learn to offer Innovative Alternatives that create 'Social Currency'.

  4. Resolution & Agreement: Secure the deal with total professional dignity. Master the BATNA (Best Alternative to a Negotiated Agreement) so you know exactly when to apply a 'Sweetener' to close the deal and when to Escalate to protect business boundaries.

About The Facilitator

Mark Field specialises in transforming how professionals resolve high-pressure conflict by focusing on Interests, not Positions.

Drawing on extensive workplace experience, Mark teaches participants how to use Linguistic Engineering and Tactical Empathy to facilitate the Pivot.

By translating complex negotiation theory into the 'Stakeholder Filter' and the 'BATNA', he ensures every participant leaves as a Professional Fixer.

Who is it for?

The ‘Professional Navigator’ workshop is designed for professionals operating in high-stakes environments where human emotion is an operational barrier to resolution. If you or your team need to move beyond de-escalation to secure functional agreements under pressure, this tactical framework is your ‘Strategic Toolkit’ for turning conflict into social and commercial currency.

This course is essential for:

  • Government & Public Sector: Officers, case managers, and frontline staff navigating complex policies, compliance, and public frustration;

  • Corporate Professionals: Managers, receptionists, and consultants who handle high-stakes negotiations or sensitive client escalations.

  • Hospitality & Retail Workers: Supervisors and staff managing the 'Full Cup' of customer expectations in fast-paced, high-volume environments;

  • Frontline Teams: Anyone who encounters stressful confrontations with customers, clients, or members of the public and needs a repeatable system to stay safe and grounded.

Whether you are an individual professional looking to transition from de-escalation to decisive resolution, or a manager seeking to establish a unified standard for high-value negotiation , this workshop provides the strategic toolkit to steer every conflict toward a functional destination.
