What are they?
Australian Apprenticeships (the term used to cover both traineeships and apprenticeships) are nationally recognised training pathways that combine paid work with formal training. They allow individuals to gain a qualification while learning practical, job-ready skills in the workplace.
Who are they for?
Traineeships and apprenticeships aren’t just for school leavers or entry-level employees. They can be accessed by anyone, at any stage of their career, looking to develop new skills, gain a qualification, or advance professionally.
An Australian Apprenticeship is simply a formal training agreement that unlocks access to generous Government funding, helping employers and employees reduce or even eliminate the cost of nationally recognised training. It does not alter your existing employment agreement with your employer, and it does not reduce your current pay or conditions.
In fact, using the apprenticeship system to access government-funded training is one of the smartest ways to invest in your career development, gaining nationally recognised skills without financial disadvantage or disruption to your work.
What qualifications are available?
All qualifications delivered by Access Recognised Training Australia are available through an apprenticeship or traineeship pathway enabling students and employers to access government funding while gaining nationally recognised skills and industry experience.
Current qualifications include:
-
SIT30821 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (Apprenticeship)
-
SIT40521 Certificate IV in Kitchen Management (Apprenticeship)
-
SIT60322 Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management (Traineeship)
Each qualification is delivered through flexible, work-based models that combine practical on-the-job training with structured learning and assessment, ensuring participants develop real-world skills aligned with industry standards and future career goals.
