Work-Based Training (WBT) - Flexible delivery, designed for an Australian Apprenticeship (traineeship) pathway in Canberra or fee-for-service students currently working in fully operational hospitality enterprises across Australia.

Admission Requirements
  1. To undertake the SIT30622 Certificate III in Hospitality in Canberra with ACCESS Recognised Training Australia you must be employed in a fully operational hospitality establishment. ACCESS does not provide employment or recruitment services and therefore cannot assist with work placements;  

  2. Sound English language, literacy and numeracy skills (ACSF – Level 3);

  3. At least 15 years of age.

An ASBA lets high school or college  students combine paid work with nationally recognised training while completing their studies. Students gain real workplace experience across front-of-house operations  including customer service, food & beverage, hygiene and safe work practices and work towards a nationally recognised  qualification. Course Duration

6 - 15 months. The course duration will vary depending on the number of credit transfers and the individual progress of each student. At a minimum,  students are expected to complete one unit of competency per month.

Graduates of the SIT30622 Certificate III in Hospitality in Canberra, ACT with Access Recognised Training Australia may pursue the following roles: Food and Beverage Attendant Provide customer service in restaurants, cafés, and bars, including taking orders, serving food and drinks, and maintaining a high standard of presentation and hygiene. Barista Specialise in preparing espresso coffee and other café beverages, while managing customer orders and operating café equipment. Bar Attendant Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, ensure compliance with Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) laws, and maintain a safe bar environment. Function or Event Attendant Assist in setting up, serving, and coordinating functions, events, and conferences in venues such as hotels, clubs, and catering facilities. Gaming Attendant Work in licensed venues operating gaming machines, applying Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG) standards and assisting patrons responsibly. Housekeeping Attendant Maintain guest rooms and common areas to high cleanliness and service standards in hotels, resorts, and serviced apartments. Front Office Receptionist Provide guest services at hotel or resort reception desks, including check-in, reservations, and handling guest enquiries. Guest Service Agent Deliver personalised customer service across various hospitality departments, supporting guest satisfaction and repeat business.

After achieving the SIT30622 Certificate III in Hospitality, candidates may undertake SIT40422 Certificate IV in Hospitality.
