Gambling Contact Officer - Annual Training
Training delivery method: Face-to-face
To remain eligible for appointment as a GCO in the ACT, persons must complete an approved GCO training session in each calendar year of their appointment. Successfully completing this face-to-face course fulfils the annual training requirements of Gambling Contact Officers.
Pre-requisite: To undertake the GCO Annual Training you must have completed the Gambling Contact Officer Training.
GCO Annual Training in Canberra, ACT
Access Recognised Training has been contracted by the ACT Gambling and Racing Commission to deliver the approved annual Gambling Contact Officer (GCO) Training in 2025 (previously conducted by Wisdom Learning). The training course has been fully funded by the Commission and must be refreshed annually.
Course Duration and Delivery Dates for 2025
The GCO Annual Training course takes 4 hours to complete. All course materials and catering will be provided.

About the Course
The Gambling Contact Officer (GCO) Annual Training Course is designed to equip GCOs with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to effectively identify and address gambling harm. This training adopts a public health approach, emphasising harm prevention, reduction strategies, emotional support, and regulatory compliance. Through interactive discussions, real-world scenarios, and expert insights, participants will gain practical tools to foster safer gambling environments and support patrons in need.
Course Eligibility and Certification
To be eligible to undertake this course, you must have completed the approved GCO course and currently be acting in a Gambling Contact Officer (GCO) role at a licensed gambling venue in the ACT.
All course participants will receive an e-copy certificate sent to their nominated e-mail account.
